Hi, I’m Ashlynn Wittmann

Pediatric Sleep Consultant from Philadelphia, PA

Hi, I’m Ashlynn! I’m based in Philadelphia, PA, where I live with my husband and preschool-age daughter. Before becoming a Certified Sleep Coach and Postpartum Doula, I spent over a decade working as a social worker specializing in maternal and child health.

My journey into sleep coaching began with my own struggles as a new mom. Like many parents, I vividly remember the early days of sleep deprivation—rocking my baby to sleep endlessly and feeling utterly exhausted. One day, while pumping and unable to pick up my fussing daughter, something unexpected happened: she fell asleep on her own. That moment was transformative for me. I realized that with the right tools and strategies—like age-appropriate wake windows and fostering independent sleep—things could get better. These changes improved not only my daughter’s sleep but also my mental health and overall postpartum experience.

As a social worker, I’ve spent years supporting families during one of the most vulnerable times in their lives. Now, as a Certified Sleep Coach and Postpartum Doula, I bring that same gentle and holistic approach to helping parents navigate the challenges of early parenthood. I understand the exhaustion, overwhelm, and emotions that come with those first months (and years).

My goal is to empower families with the tools they need to set their children up for healthy sleep habits that will give them the gift of sleep for a lifetime. Whether you’re a new parent struggling with sleepless nights or looking to create a foundation for better sleep & not-a-peep from that nursery, I’m here to guide and support you every step of the way. Together, we’ll make your parenting journey a little easier—and a lot more restful! Let’s Connect!

Kristine, 3 months & 3 years old

Ashlynn was such an incredible resource when our three month old baby was having so much trouble sleeping at night. She provided countless recommendations to help figure it out. She checked in consistently to see when there were improvements. I can confidently say our baby at six months is sleeping so much better. When our toddler (3 years) began fighting naps during this same time she offered yet again practical tips to help with the toddler tantrums during nap time and bedtime. A simple shift in nap time length based upon her recommendation has helped him consistently nap everyday. No more fighting them! I highly recommend using her to help figure out the complexity of sleep!

Louisa, 10 months old

Our 10 month old, was struggling with many sleep issues when I first spoke with Ashlynn about infant sleep. Our daughter had major jet lag from traveling, refusing day naps and was still waking up four to five times at night to feed. Ashlynn recommended a quiet relaxing space during the day for bottle feeds. As a global traveler, our daughter’s days were full of new and stimulating experiences; since the only quiet time she got was at night, she was more likely to drink most of her milk overnight. We transitioned her feeding to the daytime by providing her a quiet room to have a bottle several times a day. We were also sharing a room with my husband and I, so Ashlynn recommended a separate room for her once we were settled. This helped her fall asleep instead of being distracted by our presence. We began to drop other sleep props and soothers such as bum pats and back rubs, which had been on high demand.

Ashlynn kept encouraging me to try new techniques since each baby is different. She was always suggesting new tips and is full of great ideas I hadn’t considered such as blackout curtains and a sound machine. I highly recommend Ashlynn as a sleep consultant! She’s very well informed and helps navigate each particular case in a sensitive and tactful manner. I am confident that she will be the best person to call whenever I have any questions in the future!

Ariel, 5 months old

We had the pleasure of working with Ashlynn when our son was about 5 months old (he is now about to be 1). When we first met Ashlynn we were in the habit of holding our son until he fell asleep, which meant we were often exhausted and limited on time. Ashlynn taught us invaluable techniques that helped our son learn to put himself to sleep. This has been such a game-changer for us – not only has it saved us time, but it’s also been wonderful to see our son learning and growing through this process. We are so grateful for her guidance and support, and we highly recommend her to anyone looking for expert advice and compassionate care. Thank you, Ashlynn!

Kerry, 4 months old

Ashlynn is fantastic!! She helped us break our feed-to-sleep routine with a creative and easy method with our four month old. My baby quickly adapted to it and learned to fall asleep on her own, giving me and my husband much-needed extra time and rest. Her naps lengthened after that, too! Ashlynn always gives excellent advice and is a kind, compassionate listening ear. I’ll always be thankful for her insight and support!

Carol, 3-5 months old

Ashlynn had a wonderful impact on our baby’s sleep.  She assisted in caring for our son while he was 3-5 months old and provided great guidance around good sleeping habits, safety measures and navigating through a sleep regression.  She kept a daily detailed log of our baby’s sleep and wake windows and provided effective self soothing techniques when needed.  She adapted well to our family dynamic and was an excellent communicator.  We can’t say enough positive things about Ashlynn and would recommend her with the highest regard to a future family.
